Lucy Worsley OBE
Congratulations to Lucy Worsley on her award! A new series of “Biggest fibs”, for which I have again done some animation and illustration throughout, is due to screen in January and I think is even better than “British History’s biggest fibs”.

Meanwhile the last episode of “Inside the tower of London” airs this sunday on Channel 5. Again I did illustrations throughout.

Jacob Rees Mogg
So Jacob Rees Mogg, head of European Research Group, sends his letter. At least what he said this morning was not an idle threat.

Jacob is rather good in these situations- very gracious to all and particularly to hecklers: “We are a democracy, and that’s why these splendid people can shout away”. He also rules himself out in any leadership contest: “This is nothing to do with personal ambition”, adding “I’m not offering my name as leader”.

One thing worried me this morning. Mrs May has now say a few times that there are 3 alternatives- the deal she has offered, no deal or no Brexit. When pressed on the third outcome, she flatly said it was not on offer. I do not quite understand this chop logic.

Sheryll Murray adds another letter of no confidence

and from Steve Baker, who was standing next ti Mr Rees Mogg

It is possible there are already enough letters in the 1922 committee to trigger the vote of no confidence and begin a Leadership contest.
Michael Gove refuses
Apparently Michael Gove will not be the new Brexit secretary. the poisoned chalice is passed around a little longer…

and just for good measure, here is an earlier picture of Sarah Wollaston who today said the following: “Blindingly obvious to everyone, except PM, that the deal cannot pass the Commons. We are heading towards the cliff edge of a chaotic No Deal & no transition Brexit in 134 days. Unforgivable to allow that to happen.” She has a record of voting against the Government.

Decoding Altrincham

After 5 resignations, Jacob Rees Mogg has just threatened the Prime Minister in a curious way. He asked whether it was time to write “to the member for Altrincham”, who is Graham Brady. Brady is the chairman of the 1922 committee which oversees a leadership bid. In other words, a direct challenge from one of her own on a difficult day. Astonishing!

Matthew Hedges needs support

A very worrying case says the Foreign secretary as Matthew’s rights are “violated on a daily basis” by his UAE captors. Another Disappointing story that makes difficult reading. He is currently awaiting a first hearing, apparently scheduled in the next 10 days, after being detained in May at the airport.
